THE OPPORTUNITY

This position primarily conducts virtual audits of commercial accounts to determine the appropriate classifications and exposures to be used as the basis of premium and to determine final exposures. In addition, assembles facts and data having a bearing in the determination of actual earned premiums for specific classes of casualty insurance including workers' compensation and general liability. There is a potential for some physical audits on an as needed basis in the territory. This position will primarily cover our Southern states with some potential of virtual surveys in other territories as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Conduct timely and accurate premium audits on commercial accounts to validate the accuracy of classifications and premium bases within a defined geographical area.
  • Reach out to insureds in order to obtain audit documents. Stay in communication with insureds throughout the audit process.
  • Complete audits based on industry standard rules and interpretation for that jurisdiction.
  • Conduct a inspection of insured’s books to obtain the audit exposures.
  • Obtain information about the insured operations and different employee responsibilities to confirm proper classification.
  • Send notifications to Underwriters of any unusual conditions that may affect the premiums.
  • Develop relationships with customers, agents, underwriters, and other internal business partners to communicate and support the audit results.
  • Conduct Physical audits in the territory on an as needed basis.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Insurance.
  • Minimum of two years’ Premium Audit or related experience preferred.
